On top or cut round

Hi everyone
If anyone could point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it, the question I have is; would it be better to mount the toilet on the floor and tile round it or lay the tiles first and then fit the toilet on top of the tiles? The problem does not seem so bad when you say it really fast!!

Take toilet out and tile underneath. Take great care to ensure no leaks when replacing as old fittings can be a right pain.
