great pics stevie ..

i love fiberous plastering....we have a family in liverpool who specialise in this. one of the guys is 78 and still working!!!!
they do some amazing work and can basically name their price. i have run some moulds at riversdale college in 1986 and done some in situ repairs but it really takes years of hard work to establish yourself and cover the full repetoir!!

fiberous plastering is a rare trade now..

Nice one. Steve.

About five years ago, we worked in a house that was getting the same kind of old-school plaster treatment. It was fascinating to see how they were applying this stuff.

I think that homeowner was the only customer I've ever had that truly had a "money is no object" approach to the work in his house. He would pay top dollar to get things done n the house, then his wife and the decorator would come in and decide they didn't like it. He wouldn't blink and eye and would pay to have it all torn out and redone. :yikes:

Our job was to prep all seven showers in the house-pan liners, all mortar work, all the waterproofing. We weren't asked to do any of the stone and tile work because the decorator insisted on using her person. He wasn't a tile setter, instead he was identified as a "tile artist". He and his guys made a lot of mistakes and messed a lot of stuff up. The owner paid him to tear out his problem work and then paid him to do it again.:mad2:
