Hello folkes

I have been asked to price up a job it's a external tiling job on to a concrete slab that is 10" thick laid to a small fall away from the building the slab is reenfoced.

Due to door sills I be building up a thick bed approx 22mm to finish at correct hights.
The stone is 600mm wide random length 22mm thick stone.
My question is can I lay this on a cement and sand bed ? And what mix would be recommended ?
White cement I guess ? And should I add some sbr to the mix to improve adhesion

Also what about decoupling mat (ditra or equiverlant ) any advise greatly appreciated

You can add Ronafix to your mix, that will help with a thin bed.
That's a tip I stole off our very friendly Porcelthin supplier uncle Ray.

I'd also look at using something like Ditra Drain 8 as opposed to Ditra 25
That alone will give you a 10mm lift in height and provide good drainage.
And decouple your stone from the slab.
Then you have far less to make up, and be able to use a ptb adhesive instead.
It's Just another idea.
