Outside tiling

Hi Guys

Got a job tiling a small long section out side a superdrup, it is broken into 3 sections and i wil have to remove the old tiles that are down, i will need to also remove the old adhesive, whats the best way to do this, i have a hammer and bolster i also have a sds with hammer attachment,

Any thips on removing the old adhesive?

I would use the bolster first if that don't work use sds. Just a quick point on health and safety, If your working where the public are passing by screen off the work area and put some sign's up otherwise your'll have the fall over's out in force claiming against your public liability

I learned long ago not to bash the crap out of tiles your better going at it slowly. Get your bowster at one edge and tap easy, the vibration through the tile will make the job easier and lift more adhesive for you

Engineering workshops use big mechanical hack saws, the blades are 2" wide and couple 3 foot long. If you get hold of an old one cut it into 3 and sharpen one end like a chisel and use this to tap tiles up. Because of the type of steel and the thickness about 3/8s they are awesome for the job

Dont envy you tho and you need goggles on this one

I have just called the guys and told him he has to remove the tiles and adhesive, and i will tile if it is flat,
