Hi people,
I have just started a job tonight and the walls are painted i think it's dry lining? anyway i did the tape test on all the walls and there were some areas that flaked off pretty easy which im pretty worried about.will i have to sand all the paint off all four walls or shall i just sand off the flaky bits and carry on aas normal.? Im working with large format tiles so dont really want to risk the chance of them falling off. what's the best course off action? Ive left quite a few bits of cellotape on the walls overnight and if it comes off with paint on in the morn then im thinking all the walls need sanding. is there any other tests i can do? If possible i dont want to sand all the paint off as this will set me right back as then i will need to sugar saop wait for it to dry, prime again, then start to sort the walls out with rapid set as there is a few areas that hare about an inch out! Any suggestions. Sorry for the late and long post. Your help is appreciated.:mad2:
