patterned floor tiling

ok, probably a dim newbie question here... but take a look at this pic and tell me... do the white tiles come pre cut or do you have to chop all 4 corners off each white tile to make the dark ones fit in?

If so, what is this kind of pattern called and what do you guys charge for laying?

phew! I nearly had a heart attack..... the thought of cutting every one in the same way you might do a small centre bit on a wall...

have laid them tiles before and little bits are " taco's " and come in several colours or they used to as havn't seen these tiles for while now. use to be popular tile but trends change.. but they look effective tho....

how much extra did you charge on top and compared to normal floor,how much longer did it take you?

to tell you the truth its just as quick as normal floors , the only thing to watch for is these tiles can be quite sizey so just make sure you keep to your lines. dave..

They look good once finished though... Personally I wont charge extra now I know they don't all need cutting.... I just was a bit confused because someone mentioned on another forum about having to cut EVERY tile... I thought *wtf?!!*

Funny you should say that Dave, I have a job coming up in the near future and the guy wants exactly that style. Don't know where to get them from though!!!
