yes andrew i tried to setup something similar to take card payments from visa for a large job last year
it was pretty last minute but i was surprised to be told it would take up to 8 weeks to process my application as they do credit checks etc?

i didnt do it in the end...the only reason being i wasnt willing to wait 8 weeks to set it up...i think it could be a good way to take payments though especially to entice people into larger jobs/refits that they may not have cash for

i beleive there was a monthly charge for the hire of the card machine and also percentage costs on payments going through

This one they can pay online or paying your invoice over the phone.

hmm...need to look further into this one it seems you can pay up on credit terms ,not convinced about that one

also states about debit cards...you can do that via bacs transfer the one i was gonna do was just a visa payment machine....like the ones in the black cabs

does this pay a trader scheme have other things attached

I looked at the joining fees for payatrader :yikes:

I advertise as accepting payment via paypal which is free and everybody knows and trusts. It has won me quite a few extra big jobs purely because they could slap it on the plastic
