Thanks to many posters here, I've finally completed my bathroom.
It's only my second tiling job to date, the first being my en-suite. I hope it's my last though!}

So, thanks for all your helpful advice and tips.

Dude really nice job, i hope you and the missus are pleased with it. Nice looking sanitary ware too, bathstore by any chance? If you are looking for a folding screen have a look at Manhattan ones, fitted loads are are a good bit of kit! Not the usual naff stuff you get from the sheds!

Thanks Scottley.

Yes, it's all from Bathstore. I see you have a keen eye!

I'll be sure to take a look at the Manhatten folding screens as it'll be on my list in the next few weeks. I want a decent one but first it's skirting boards and flooring repairs before carpeting in a bedroom ready for a little ones arrival in 6 weeks time :welcome:

Im on the fitters list for 2 bathstores in my area, hence i know the product! The manhattan wont let you down, its got a unique sealing system. Not the cheapest screen around but probably cheaper than the bathstore ones to be honest.

Good luckwith the little one! first one and do you know what is going to be?

No, it's our second one - a boy to go with our 6yr old girl.
It's frightening to hear how our daughter wants to bath him when he arrives! :yikes:

Pricewise, I don't think the Manhatten screens are too bad. I'd sooner pay extra for quality and a reliable product.

Thanks for all your kind words.
It felt like it took ages but I geared up this past week, starting when I got home from work until around 8pm.
Fitted the new floor last Saturday, tiled it on Sunday then grouted over a few evenings.
Finally, I fitted the toilet and sink yesterday so I now have one happy missus! :hurray:

All I need to do now if fit the shower controls (main tank and heater is seperate in the loft), fit the bits that go with it (rail etc) and find a suitable shower screen, ideally a 4 or 5 piece design which folds back onto itself.

Hi Gary

Nice work matey, with regards to the shower/bath screen may I recommend 'Manhatten swiftseal folding screens' they are not the cheapest but have a bar that drops down onto the bath and create a nice water tight seal, I have fitted many of these in rental properties with no problems.

avoid anything cheap and nasty from B&Q etc.

hope this helps
Gary
