Plasterboard query

Hi,

Looking to fit 600x300 porcelain tiles to a plasterboard wall. Have removed emulsion from walls and was going to fix with mapei keraflex S1.

Conflicting advice floating about whether to score the walls or not to give the adhesive a key or does this affect the strength of the pasterboard paper/wall? also is priming required if the emulsion has been removed?

I would just prime and tile. But wait for others more experienced members.

do you mean straight onto plasterboard or have the walls been skimmed? if its straight on plasterboard I personally always prime first as it stops the adhesive drying to quick on the porous boards and if its straight on the board, there's no need to key the walls first

There is never conflicting advice as to scoring plasterbaord walls... you NEVER score them as this ruins the integrity of the board face... the paper finish is the strength to the boards gypsum core.. scoring it weakens this..
