We are about to start the process of replacing our existing bathroom.
We will be using 10mm thick marble tiles and understand the current skimmed plasterboard walls will not support the weight of these.
I intend to pull down all the existing plasterboard, (one wall dot and dab, the three others on batterns), and replace with fresh moisture resistant plasterboard.
However, it appears we can buy either square edged or tapered edge plasterboard. Looking at the sizes available we can get the square edged board in 1200x900 boards that might make it a bit easier to handle, or the tapered edge boards in 2400x1200 - which as im doing most of this on my own could be a bit big !!
Is there any problem with using the smaller square edged boards when tiling floor to cieling?
Obviously we will be fully tanking the area over the bath for the shower - Dunlop Kit already sat waiting to be used.
Cheers
James
