Plasterboard

Do you have to prime plasterboard before tiling or can you tile without seems like a few mixed opinions on here?

I don't just make sure it's not dusty before tiling, wipe with a damp sponge.

You dont "have " to but you can, this could slow down the setting of the adhesive though , any bare edges should be primed though.

Prime any bare gypsum showing the board....

I always prime it. I don't think it can hurt anyway

Has anyone used palace primer? Also any comments on larsen standard set adhesive ?

I just keep a good supply of sbr to prime....

Same as whitebeam I always prime with sbr.

Haven't used palace primer, but used larsen stuff for years. Decent enough adhesive but always preferred the flexi stuff. Never had any problems with it although local supplier recently changed from larsen to webber.

I dont bother to prime plasterboard i sometime use multifix adhesive that has a primer in it

you can prime if u want wont hurt, i tape all joints ans skim over with adhesive
