I fit to tile.. neater IMO.

Generally i tile the window wall first and cut the tiles to a size that brings the window square, over sizing the cut if necessary, i then fit trim to the inner reveal of the window, butting against the tiles on the wall. Lastly, cut the reveal tiles and slot them into the trim.
