hi gonna start my first paid job monday it a bathroom floor just wondering what thickness of board to put down?also there is no bath been installed yet should i just take down the dimensions of the bath and mark out on floor then just go over the marks a bit so the bath panel sits over the tile or would you wait till the baths been installed then tile up to the panel?any help would be appreciated thanks.

hi mat...use 12/15mm exterior grade ply....if you are only tiling the floor than just tile roughly up to where the bath is going....and then the plumber can set the bath to suit the tile height...

hi dont understand the last bit would the bath panel go over the top of the tile on the floor or would you tile up to the panel????????thanks

if you are tiling the floor before the bath goes in then the bath panel will sit on top....:8:

about 6 inches or so enough so the panel covers the edges...if you have enough tiles then just tile the lot...

hi again also doing the bathroom wall is it down to customer to decide the border height or is there a height you normally go to ???????? thans

Borders can go at any height you (or should I say, the customer) wants. The norm is around 3-4ft from the floor, but I hav seen some really nice work with a border 1ft from the ceiling, it's really down to personal choice.

Just a note mate, the bath must be installed before tiling the walls.

usually its down to the customer mat...also depends on what height the tiling is going to be...if its a half tiled room then its usually about 1.2 mtrs high...but if the room is fully tiled then either half way or as alot of bathrooms are going at the moment the borders are going on at picture rail height ( 3 qtrs up to those that dont now what picture rail is)......best to leave it to customer....
