Polished porcelain

Hi folks,
Just finishing off a bathroom, looks good, but am not 100 % happy with the shine on all the tiles. They were waxed which I removed with loads of elbow grease...then lightly sealed, and wiped off, then buffed by hand.

Is it normal to buff the whole lot with a polisher once it's all finished? I have often wondered If I'm missing a trick here to really show off the tiles to their fullest. I have read other threads with folks polishing natural stones

I'd appreciate any help here - I don't get PPorc jobs that often : )

Is it the wax left on the face of the tile that is still visible? If you havnt taken it off completely it will smear when you try to wash off.

Did you check they had full polish before you sealed..?

did you use a stripper for removing solvent based wax?

Yes, I used a stripper to remove the wax, and they weren't sealed previously.
I'm sure they would polish up fine, just wondered if anyone used a polisher to speed up the process, and save the arms : )

Just a lambswool buffing pad on variable speed grinder will suffice..

But if you didn't fuly remove the transit wax and check to see if you had full polish before sealing then it might not buff up.
