Although I like the post Deano, I couldn't give anyone 6 months to find out if they had what it takes !
As for how to tell them goodbye - the truth is what counts and as I have 'no mates' as my wife often reminds me when I come on here, I'am not wasting my time on someone who wastes an opportunity! Might be why the only person who stayed with me was my son!

Ive had about 6 lads or so over the years, i class 2 as really good mates, 1 as a mate and the rest as complete wastes of space and oxygen !
Still got 1 lad after ten years, great lad and does not stop

I know it takes time , I have a lad with me at the moment and I cant really fault him and his attitude is good and he wants to learn , he has been with me since September on low wages he will be finishing his level 2 diploma next week and then I will get him on his nvq course this September coming, I am looking forward to the next few months when I can get him as much hands on experience as possible to bring him along , it has cost me money out of my own pocket as he wasn't eligle for funding this year but next year i will get some assistance from an apprenticeship grant.

Pleased for you Gary that it's working out. For me I've done my fair share over the years and now it takes me all my time keeping the bloke I sub to right!:smilewinkgrin:
