if 10mm is too thin for overboard what do you reccomend, again trouble is i have to run tiles from the hall way through to the old kitchen?
i was thinking the 6mm board and that 50 quid bag product?

As I've said, rip out the floor boards, noggin where needed to improve areas of weakness, use a WBP ply to the thickness needed, minimum of 18mm, 6mm ply will give to much, no matter what adhesive and price your paying, the tiles will break and grout joints will crack.

Sorry if that sounds like a rant, but what you want, and the way you want to accomplish it are two way different things.

Id like to agree with what the guys have said above. They are more than happy to spend as long as it takes to give the advice that people are looking for but when the only real advice is to get a pro in, there is not much more to say.

Or just inexperience, we have tried to show the OP and he has, I think, listened, knows now it's not just a case of sticking tiles down, and will ( I hope ) get the job done by a pro.

I know, recipe for disaster and it does seem ott, just goes to show,it's a scary world, I would hate for the OP to have his nice tiles go in every direction, we can but inform and hope.

if you want i can come and give you some advice on what you will need to do i am from brum you can pm me or contact me on 07813638469 you have a number of options but 10mm ply and out of date adhesive is not one of them.
