Porcelanosa Tiles

Just been to Porcelanosa in Glasgow to price up floor tiles for the Kitchen (around 13m/sq) and a downstairs bathroom at 3m/sq. Total cost is just under £*** (no prices in public forum please.)
Why is it so expensive for their tiles ?

Which ones are they?

I havent fitted many of theirs but the ones i have worked with are good quality, you generally get what you pay for IMO

yep, excellent quality tiles, fitted loads and well worth the price imo.

They are the cube polished, 30x60.

I've never tiled a floor only walls, and at the price they quoted me I would hate to make many mistakes.

What sort of price 'roughly' would a pro tiler take to do a kitchen and toilet ?

There will be a number of reasons which may affect their retail price.
1) the high end displays and showrooms will take some upkeep.
2) the packaging and sourcing of styles that could be regarded as market leaders.
3) the possibility that they are extremely good quality tiles.
4) and the fact that enough people actually buy their products to maintain that level of pricing.

Well they have quality stuff.
i picked some tiles up from there for a client from there,iwas having a look around when a sales assisant said if i refer people to there shop he will give me 30% off all orders and more if i used them alot. so you could send clients there with your business card,tell them they get 15% off then you make 15% yourself. happy dayz

The tiles I was looking at were the Cube Polished 30x60.

Got a couple of jobs coming up on December with their tiles, and I do like using them. But I don't like the way the scare their customers into buying their adhesive and grouts by saying the don't guarantee them unless you use it.

:welcome:to the forum Kev - remember the discount is for trade tilers and so not everyone will receive those stated by others!
I went with a Forum member 12 months ago as he had a job with their tiles.
Porcelanosa ended up selling the tiles direct to his customer and provided an 'approved' tiler of their own - now that's not good business.
