Pre- Xmas rush, has it started for you yet?

My phone has been manic this last week, 8 good jobs plus a few more potential ones leading up to Xmas, looks like my new "venture" will be on hold till New Year now. Anybody else getting the pre-xmas rush?

Yeah. Pretty stoked at the mo. just had the go ahead for a large renovation as well so booked to Dec 12th. 7 more days to book after that then stopping for crimbo!

with this govt. 4G ? network selling off and the promise of 100,000 new affordable homes in the pipeline, would this avoid the redundancies Al?, granted it'll be a while from conception to completion though..

Sadly not Mate. Hanson have announced mass changes....which means redundancies...lafarge are about to make a JV with Tarmac and I fear there will be complete carnage there...unless construction generally picks up...bear in mind we are over fifty percent down compared to four years ago... It is set to be a really tough few years ahead.... One of the big issues is that government failed to acknowledge five years ago
the contribution construction makes to GDP and so any help has been too little too late...
