Hi Guy's,
I am about to start a really big job in an old house with wooden floor boards.

I have been asked to tiles 4 rooms, with a slate tile.

Can you tell me the best way to do this to enable me complete this job without any come back.

I would love to say that cost is not an issue, as long as it's not too expensive!.

I was going to overboard the floor anyway, just want to know the best way forward.

I have loads of aqua panel board left over from a job....could this go on top of floor boards or could this be used as a floor board and remove existing floor.

The second thing is, what type of adhesive is best....I have used Bal flexible adhesive before, would this be ok?.

Do i have to apply a seal if i overboard with ahrdiebacker?.

Any help would be much appreciated as i don't want to lose this job.

Many thanks

Steve.

What thickness of hardibacker would you use on this type of floor?
Hardiebacker 250 at 6mm thick is designed for floor use. It is of denser construction than the 500 12mm wall version and I am sure Hardie would not recommend the use of hardie 500 for floors.

Is the Hardiebacker board set down onto the wood floor with screws and a flexible adhesive?. or just screws?
