quick advice small bathroom area tiles going on the wall are ceramic 600x300 walls have been prepped with hardibacker shown in pic attatched would you taper the edges /joins where it meets the other board and seal ?? also would the area require tanking? its not a power shower going in just standard

im sure i read some where not to seal over these boards?? hence asking the question deff tape and seal over the edges tho

just found the tech on the board tanking is required for wet rooms doesnt say about intermittent wet areas :-?

Depends the frequency of shower use, as mentioned tanking won't cost the earth though.
