preping a bad wall tomoz

ive got a bad wall needs skimming, some areas down to blockwork 15mm and some just skim missing 2mm ,can anyone advise the best quick solution , is there a onecoat that i can use from 2mm-15mm.

I take you using powdered addy, prime the walls and areas that will need building up....

Use some rapid addy to build the holes up IMO

sorry whitebeam didnt explain very good, wall 4m2 top half fine, 1.5m2 skim come off and 0.5m2 down to blockwork

Ok, whats the backing where the skim has come off, sand/cement or a gypsum backing

Could try the wickes one coat stuff for the deep and shallow areas but make sure on the bonding it has a pva to adhere to the surface.

What tiles are you fixing

white ceramics 248x328 and will be tanking, how long do you have to leave it to dry

Not a product I use, it should harden in 24 hours or less but leave it a week to dry out at least, what tanking are you using

mmm, not sure on the tanking but prep wall tomoz and hopefully tank mon, either bal or homelux, read dave used wickes onecoat and think he said dry in 2 hrs but cant find thread

It may set in 2 hours but will need longer for it to dry out

will the bal quickset render stick to the bonding coat

You will need to prime the bonding before using the bal render, the 2 materials could separate because of the powdery surface of the bonding

which primer apd or pva for bonding coat and yes i know the difference, but this is bondcoat
