price help needed

pricing up a floor i looked at today and i just wanted to run it by you to see what you think

its 53m2 trav opus romano pattern on a gyvlon screed, customer is supplying all materials.

i was looking at £35m2 plus £300 to prep the floor plus the price to hire the sander, which comes to my next question whats the best sander to hire, HSS hire is my local dealer.

hi,i think youre meter rate is spot for the work, when you say prep the floor ,do you mean primer nd self levelling,i think £300 a bit steep.. youre getting nicely paid for the fitting so could go easier on them prep price..

gyvlon screed....so thats to hire a sander, sand the floor, hoover the dust and 2 coats or primier.

I don't think you are too far over a fair rate and you'll be okay for the preparation price being a Gyvlon screed.

good price mate, prep need's to be machine +Labour/time to sand it down & clean it up

gyvlon screed....so thats to hire a sander, sand the floor, hoover the dust and 2 coats or primier.

A floor belt sander with 60 grit paper will suffice or a floor scarifier with copper pads on.. it is a lot of prep and not something to be rushed.. so charge for it..

Have you checked all the other questions as well.. how long has it been down etc etc.. is inscreed UFH involved.. what type of gyvlon screed is it..? <<< this will also determine the amount of sanding required.

yes dave done a lot of reasearch on here its low latiance screed with under floor heating ......screeds been down for three weeks ufh being turn on this week.

just quoteing the job at the momment.......it was one that was posted on here xmas eve, so fingers crossed.

Ok.. remember it can be forced dry.. i have some pdf's in you require them as well mate.. is any plastering to be done yet.. this can hinder drying till that dries as well.. loads of air moisture about.
