Price per hour for a company

What price an hour would you work for a company for, been offered a job with a new company and will be getting payed by the hour, ive never worked this way before its always been price work or a set day rate, also its down south so would you expect them to pay for your diggs and pay you a full day for travelling down its 10 hours drive.

As long as your clearing about a bag of sand a week for 60 hours after tax diggs fuel etc no matter how you work it between you, Check the company out before you go George id do a credit check after recent experience is it a weekly weigh in?

are they paying an hourly rate ,have they not specified what the wage is?

Said its £15 hour witch would work out not to bad if there £15 per hour per man as i would be taking 2 labours with me and paying them £10 an hour, but i would expect them to pay for diggs aswell we only pay our own diggs if we are on price work, and i think they should pay use a full day for traveling down what do use think sound about right.

Think getting your first travelling day paid is becoming a thing of the past m8, are you taxed at source and how many hours per week can you work on the site?

Guy said 40-45 hours a week but if i go down ill be wanting to go down for two of three weeks working every day,need to ask him about the tax usually the companys we work for send the cheques out with the tax already took off.What about the diggs the company surly got to pay for these am i right ?

Doubt it m8, they would prob just get somebody local in that case unless its a books in job.

There noway i would do it if i had to pay for my own diggs, would end up working for nothing lol

why not ask the company if they are going to pay for digs at least you will know where you stand

Eleven, you be careful, they should be putting everything in writing (like what I do, so there is no bish bash bosh, you tight fisted *****, Ill drag you across the floor by your hair scenario at the end of the works). But seriously you need to weigh it all up. if the contract grinds to a halt you could be down here not earning a penny, and they should be throwing in a NPO allowance. If they dont want to put anything in writing, its not a good sign, so watch out, theres a lot of sharks out there at the moment.

i think its not enough money as digs need to be paid for, its not enough money to attract local labour either, and if its some one new to you i would be careful. weigh up the travelling time, the digs, and the risk of the work not being ready etc.

I told the guy today i want 150 day rate for the 3 of us plus diggs payed for and set up for us getting there, said he has to ok it with someone and will get back to me tomorrow.
