just wondering what sort of price others charge for working with travertine, doing a quote at moment for a floor - 45 m2 (over 3 rooms) kitchen, dining room, utility room, concrete base, using 600mm x 400mm travertine. i know all tilers charge much more for working with natural stone? but how much

Because of the extra visits required for stone re drying etc, £35 is around our mark tho you may need to ease a bit on that because of the large area

tiler

i'm thinking £31 per m inc. materials but was reading somewhere that some tilers charge between £50 -£80 ?? if so i'm way off?

so i shant go in with the £80/ m then, would be nice if he accepted! :sifone: :sifone:

is the Travertine honed and filled as this also will hold you back a bit if you need to fill the back of it ,personally get as much as you can and remember to back butter the tiles aswell as combing the floor with adhesive,so there will be extra adhesive needed bare this in mind.I think £35 is a fair price considering the extra work minvoved with travertine..sealing etc...e4xplain this to the customer and im sure they will have a better understanding of whats involved...all the best.
