primer everbuild

hi all,

went to see a job today bathroom customer has removed tiles himself , walls are in pretty good condition. He has primed the walls already with everbuild sbr 3:1 . Now i use sovereign sbr and apply adhesive whilst the primer is tacky. Would you use the the everbuild sbr and apply another coat and tile when tacky?

any advice greatly appreciated.

I wait till the primer drys before fixing any tiles.........

You should be fine to tile

technical sheet for soveriegn sbr says if primer drys apply another coat. Ive tiled walls on dry primer and never had a problem either.

The primer needs to be dry to prevent moisture from cement addy getting to the gypsum.. Ettringite is a mare if no primer used and allowed to dry..

Walls are cement render and have not been skimmed.

I've started using Granfix's acrylic bond. Its blue in colour, 1 part to 3 parts water.
