Primer for underfloor heating?

Hi all,

I have a job to start next week and the customer has been taking advise on materials from a number of sources. The main issue is adhesive and primer for underfloor heating he has been led to believe that the primer and adhesive has to be from the same manutacturer. First ive heard of it and ive been in the trade for a long time. Is this true? or a sales ploy!!

No the primer and adhesive do not have to be from the same manufacturer. However prudence dictates that t is desirable to use the same fr both simply because if there is an issue later and you have used different manufacturers each has an easy get out from sortng it out.

primer usually comes with the kit if needed,there are some on the market that dont require primer,have a look at the instructions,as for adhesive i always use bal you cant go wrong with it,good luck

As above Bal is pretty good
