Hi all, went and looked at another bathroom and the guy has removed some tiles and repaired the wall. I know i will have to prime the new plaster after it's had plenty of time to thoroughly dry out but the rest of the room is just painted. I checked the paint all round and it's sound so do I still need to prime the painted areas before tiling?

Cheers.......Scott......

Really you want to remove as much paint as possible first as once your new tiles are on, their basically only stuck to a fine layer of paint, and not the actual wall substrat.

If you can't remove the paint for whatever reason, then give it a right good going over with a corse sand paper, then you could prime to give some extra stick, then tile away.
