Primerfor plywood - where from...help?

I am trying to find a source for a primer/sealer to use on the back and edges of the plywood floor I will be tiling onto.

Bal APD and Bal Bond SBR were recommended in earlier posts.

I have found these on line but the cost of £37 for 5 litres seems a bit excessive to me.

I only need enough for very small en-suite bathroom floor measuring approximately 2.5m x 1m

Can I get the BAL products or an equivalent at a better price? if so where.

sorry to jump on this, I am tiling an en-suite floor and have screwed down 4sqm of ply onto floorboards without first priming the underside. Why should you seal the underside please, looks like I may have to lift the lot?

You should seal the underside and edges to keep out moisture as Whitebeam says. This reduces the possibity of the timber reacting to atmospheric changes giving rise to expansion/contraction issue.

I am just looking to see if I can purchase any of the products recommended in my local area which would be nice (save about 6 quid of postage). I think the Mapei stuff may be available and also the Everbuild.... we shall see
