Hi, have started my first tiling job based on tons of reading on these forums, thank you for everything so far, but am now at a critical point and am a bit concerned about priming.
The bathroom walls are a mix of plasterboard and patching plaster, if you get what I mean, onto which I am fixing 18" x 12" ceramic tiles with Mapei single part flex. I've stripped all the old tiles, repaired where necessary and removed all the paint from the upper walls. Today I've primed the walls with SBR Bond mixed 4:1 with water which I read was the thing to do in these instances BUT have only just seen a mention of fixing the tiles within 24 hours of priming, I wasn't planning to start tiling until next weekend. Will this still be OK or am I knackered? My only thought if is this is a problem was whether I could slap a second coat on just before starting.
Any suggestions gratefully received.
