Priming hardiebacker

Does anyone prime hardibacker? I am using keraquick white,

You do not need to prime it, just a wipe over with a damp sponge to remove surface dust

I would prime it with sbr bond if you are sticking 6mm down and not putting any fixings in it it tends to curl off the bed if its not primed

Hardi say no need to prime, just wipe as Dave says. I do prime though, both ways are fine IMO.

I mainly use no more ply and that recommend 2 coats of sbr to both sides.
