Priming

hello. i got some tubbed addy, from almurad tiles for 8quid a tub. i wish to tile onto a skimmed wall, browning behind it and he said use pva to prime it. after reading stuff on here im a bit reluctant to use pva, but i have some cementone sbr from b n q. can i prime the walls using the sbr instead of the pva?

Yes SBR watered down 3 to 1 ..NOT PVA

thanks sir ramic, is the sbr meant to be watery in the tub or is it supposed to be thick like pva? sorry for sounding like a turnip but im just wondering.

plus do i have to let it dry before i start tiling or do i have to do it while it is wet?

SBR is thin in container, as above 3:1 let it dry 2hrs. What tiles are you using? tubbed adhesive not good for a lot of modern tiles.:yikes:

they just ceramic tiles mate, can i leave the primer overnight then tile in the morning?

I've been using Webber primer & Webber addy and it appears to be good stuff.
