hiya lads, need to pick your brains again.iv'e been having problems cutting porcelain tiles with my rubi ts60plus.just done a kitchen splashback with 100 x100mm but when i've snapped them the cut follows the score line but seems to "belly out " in the middle of the tile below the score line,so in effect the tile is wider in the middle ofthe back of the tile than on the face. also when cutting the larger format floor tiles(porcelain) it just won't snap them at all(its like theres not enough breaking strength any more).I've looked at the nib on the breaker and it seems to have flattened off slightly with wear(cutters about 4 years old) and i'm wondering if this could be the cause of the problem.cheers boys

Although I'm not familar with the tile cutter you use, you could try a bigger cutting wheel, also try scoring the tile twice, you can also flip it over and score the back, this may help with the over cutting you describe. Fine tune your breaker bar and experiment with different settings. You really need to learn the "feel" when porcelain is about to snap,it does take some practice.
