Peckers was faster ! (in posting an update). Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to Peckers, for coming to have a (VERY detailed and professional) look at my floor. I feel a lot more confident now that he has confirmed that this "creaking and crunching noise" is definitely not "normal" as the developer was trying to make me believe initially, and that he has identified a number of factors that may explain this. Thank you Peckers, you have been brilliant. Thank you Sir Ramic for sending a little nudge in the direction of the South West, and Thank you this Forum.
