Putting Wall tiles on floor??

Hi Guys

Ive recently posted a thread titled 'polished porcelain floor tile help for a newbie'. After trying numerous cleaning solutions i have finally given in and intend to rip up the floor and start again! Ive been in to BQ again and have found some black gloss(not polished porcelain this time) tiles but problem is it says they are wall tiles!! Ive checked the tile thickness and it said it was 10mm. Would i be able to put these on the floor in my bathroom can anyone tell me? My previous tiles im gonna rip up are BQ black polished porcelain and they are floor and wall tiles but im sure there not as thick as these wall tiles ive seen!!
Any help would be great please!!!

hi dont put wall tiles on floor they are not strong enough basically thats why they are marked as wall tiles:8:

why go back to b&q, have you tried tile giant, you have ripped up the floor is that the floor with the grout haze on it ,

Hi guys,yeah ive read that you cant put wall tiles on floor but thought that because of the thickness of the wall tiles being 10mm and current floor tiles being only 8.5mm id be ok!! If i recall the wall tiles said they had pressure point of 600 if that makes sense??!!

forgot to say im after some black gloss finish floor tiles but not polished porcelain!! Anyone seen any in tile giant,topps tiles etc?

roughly £25 a m2! Its onlyfor my bathroom which is 4m2!

I think you will struggle to find a glazed black gloss floor tile. 99% of the time it will be a polished porcelain or will have a matt/satin finish.

Thanks for that matt. My missus said the black gloss tile was what she wanted but i didnt know that either!! Its gonna have to be a black satin finish tile im after then cos want a tile with a bit of a shine to it without buying polished porcelain ones after the nightmare i had with them!! Do tile giant sell any black satin finish floor tiles then??

Just a tip. With highly polished tiles or tiles with a shine, if you dont get the floor perfect, the reflection will be squint, and will look poor.
