cheers Dave got it now, gimmicky gadgets, messy, bet the snapped off bits do show through grout, when you kick spacer wedges out how many times do you chip the glaze/tile surface? more times than was shown on video I bet!

there is a better leveling gimic BUT it costs a fortune, well over priced but you can walk on the tiles while the adhesive is wet, its TUSCAN LEVELING SYSTEM, can watch it being used in utube

Dave in all fairness I have installed tile for twenty years and by far this has been the most bullet proof system I have used yet. I just installed 24*24 tile on gypcrete 3500sq' in a new bank in sylvan lake the pour was bad. where it would have taken me 2 weeks to level and lay.7 days start to finish on the angle AND I DARE YOU TO FIND A FLATTER LOOKING FOOR. The system is exspensive you have to buy bulk. no the lash clips do not show trough they break at the base.P.S how do I show picture love to showyou a custom water fall.

getting back to the qep lash..

you say your floor was a bad pour....how did qep get over the bad substrate when all it does is pull the tile surfaces flush ...so what about the adhesive bed...?...how did you cope with that..hollow spots etc etc..?

the minimum notched trowel you can use is a 1/2 by1/2 by 1/2 with the clip when pulled tight it will flaten out to a 1/8" as with any tile install you still have to ensure there is enough moator in the voids large format tile you still need to pock the style of install has not changed it just makes it a lot quicker and eaiser and thank you I will send some pics.

Just don't see how these can possible work on a bowed tile?

Used some 600x300 recently that had a 2mm bow in and involved lots of humouring.

Surely these things can't straighten a tile :lol:

I own both and use both tuskan is a wonderful system with optimal situations the one downfall of tuskan is the bottom pad has 4 bumps that raise the tile off the pad not very strong still need a very flat surface to use.
lash has a u clip allows for a more uneven floor downfall of of lash is it is only good to a certain thicknesss of tile. as for bowed tile it will pull a curve out if you stagger your field . I can show you lots of pics using both systems but when trying to load pics it says i need a secity tag.P.S lots of trades men have scoffed both systems saying you dont need them and your right you dont i have laid large format for years without them but never as fast as i can with them :hurray:by the way just bought the MK 112 water saw It IS SWEET.:smilewinkgrin:

Just checked the prices for Tuscan Levelling system. In UK it would cost just under £700 for 1000 straps, 250 caps and the manual setting tool. In the USA on Contractors direct the same setup would cost $648 which at todays rate is £399. Rip off Britain or what:mad2:
