I might be wrong, but I was taught hot water damaged any cement based product. I will stand corrected, if I am wrong, I'm sure Alan (Ajax) will put me right

I have heard the same thing Phil. I think it was an Ardex techie that told me it.

Not sure who told me this Ed, some old tiler when I was serving my time, but it it stuck with me. I have never used hot water in any mix (cement based) as I say I could be wrong

dont get me wrong phil im certainly not advocating it lol
it was always a prank done to new lads on site. a mix with warm water!! that built up a sweat??
speeds up the chemical/heat reaction ..

used to use ardurapid for patch repairing before laying resin and epoxy flooring.(usually leave the repaired floor till next day before overlaying)anyway im now in the tiling business and have to rip out a hollow spot (1 square mitre) out of a sand cement screed in a kitchen before i can tile the floor.not sure how deep the patch will be yet (prob inch or 2)but i wasnt sure how long i should leave until tiling over??? can u help please ???
