Quick Question - NO MORE PLY

A customer has asked me to install their no more ply, and the shop has sold them SBR which is ok to prime the dirty t&g floor boards with, but they also sold some no more ply branded glue in a caulk tube which I've not used before.

Bearing in mind that I would be fixing 600x600 porcs, I feel happier gluing the boards down as I would HArdibacker - with plenty of Rapidset Flexi and well screwed too.

Is the special glue any use at all? Should I stick to what I know?

What's your experiences???

I cant see the sense in using primer for the floorboards. I would wonder whether the supplied NMP would stick to it. I have never used it and i cant see any mention of it from the NMP leaflets. The Adhesive from NMP is great and stick extremely well. I have been using it for years with no problems whatsover. I do over do the screws though.

the glue is awesome mate. 2 beads around the board and screw them down. they will be rock solid. i prefer it to hardibacker it just seems a lot more solid. just dont get the glue on your hands

Apparantly the No More Ply is essential to the strength of the floor. This was from the rep that joined the forum. He even claims that with this adhesive the floor is a strong as a floor overboarded with 18mm ply. Hope that helps 'Dad.

Do it the way the manufacturer says and you will have learnt something new. Its all to the good.
