Hi all, just been handed a job that I think is a tester from a highly regarded tile shop in my area, I think they want to see if I am any good.

The job is a 2 metre by 2 metre bathroom floor and a 2 metre by 1.5 metre en suite floor, all bath ware already fixed into place, customer supplying 360mm x 360mm ceramic tiles me to supply ahesive and grout.

Any help on a quote appreciated.

When asking for info it would help if you stated the type of tile, colour and what surface you wil be fixing the tiles to.

Sorry Sir... Ceramic tiles, BQ unfortunately, light grey in colour, currently bare floor boards.

So you have 7m2 of floor tiling. I am assuming that you are capable of laying both floors in the same day?
Do you have to cut around the pedestal and toilet pans? Or have they been removed?
Its hard to give a quote when you dont know the fixers abilities ( no offence).
i would be able to tile and grout those floors in one day even with the cutting around the mentioned items. So i would be asking around £160-£180 plus materials.
Dont forget they may want carpet trims where floor meets carpet.

Perfect thanks for that, I will admit it would be a long day for me but I had that price in mind aswell, hopefully this will lead to more jobs from this shop so I wil take my time, thanks for the help greatly appreciated. I think a 2part flexi would be best and if I take my time cutting around the objects I should be able, no I will be able to give a fantastic end product. Thanks again.

How do you end up being given a job from a highly regarded tile shop.... fixing B&Q tiles :huh2: , unlessmBQ stands for something else ?

Its quite common for people to call a tile shop up and ask for a tiler even if they havent bougt the tiles from the shop. Happens to me a lot.
