Thanks Doug, actually I feel quite flattered by both your and Ed's comment, as it shows in funny ways that the issue whether I can compete with girls in the looks departmement these days obviously does not arise  I'm too old for starters, but I'm friends with both of you so something else must count for something!!! Ed is quite aware of that, I reckon, so his comment is not so icky pukey corney as might appear! I am kind of hoping he made the comment in that context, that there are better things to value.
Looking at the IMO frankly pathetic form of advertising that still pimps woman for money via testosterone fuelled buying impulses I feel so cheered that I have a deep and interesting and full life where my abilities have come first in my earning power and the fact I am a woman second.
Flirting is good fun, being naughty can be fab, sex fantastic in the right circumstances, showing off what you got, too, in private, all good, but earning your money because some strange guys can't resist the look of your or, or even worse, employed her (...complete with bodypart of your choice here...) is just shallow, sad and demeaning for all concerned, even worse if not realized.
Yes, Neanderthal sales will have gone up during those shows, but don't underestimate the quiet number of people you never hear of who vote with their feet steering away from a business that still believes in 'meat marketing' profits and then shout indignation when there are yet more abuse news in the media. The message given with that kind of advertising is exactly that, that there will always be enough pretty women stupid enough to be pawed and glared at and paraded, will do anyting for a quick buck, so why not have a go at any of them and take your chances? Hey, they might even love it!
And then luckily some grow up.
