Re-grout

Hi.
Been asked to do a quote to regrout approx 6sqm and reseal bath. Not been to see job yet but had a photo sent. What's the usual price to regrout

For that. I wouldn't bother. Tell the customer they should all come off new prep work then retile.

That's not worth regrouting, I can almost guarantee that the grout will be all that's keeping those tiles on the walls. For such a small area, it's be more cost effective to rip the old tiles off and re tile with cheap whites.

i wouldn't get out of bed to re grout that, nightmare

id give them 1 day rate and suggest it would be better and wouldnt cost too much more to just rip out and replace, if happy to be regrouted have yourself an easy day lol

Funnily enough I had a previous customer call me this week about a price for a regrout on this..

Now and again when the carefully planned week goes for a burton can earn a decent day out of these to drop on to, and at a days notice usually..
Price.. Full day at day rate, new feign machine blade, 100% mark up on grout and silicone n Bobs your mothers brother

Steam cleaner!!?? Not sure that's a good idea.

I used Universal grout restorer last week (turned limestone to white).very impressed with the result.Could be an option if the grout is in stable condition

At the end of the day we all need to make money. After informing the customer of what you would recommend and they still would like it, re-grouted.
Price accordingly.

Wash it with fila deterdek and use the platicote pen.

I would try with FILA SR95 for greasy
then FUGAFRESCA MAPEI

I would avoid at all costs. More often than not customers expect a full regrout for under £100. Definitely not worth the hassle or bother

Stay away from grout pens. Pens belong in the office not a shower. Gimmick. Used once lesson learnt.
