re-tiling bathroom

Hi, we are planning to re-tile the whole of our bathroom. In prep we have taken all the old tiles off but a large amount of the plaster has also come off. One wall is bare brick. We intend to hang large porcelain (50* 35) heavy tiles on the wall and would like advice on how to prep the walls. The tiler is due to come in on Monday!! any help would be appreciated.

To get best end results I would rip room back to brick and reboard the whole room! It's not an expensive job a day or two labour at most. No need to skim afterwards!

as you tiler not advised you , complete reboard , tank walls in shower area if there is one, tape all board joints, discuss with your tiler
