Ready mix for larger tiles?

So in a nut shell, if you are tiling with a larger heavier tile, you wouldn't use the ready mixed adhiesive, you would mix it from the dry powder and gain a thincker mix ?

not so much a thicker mix. lol . when using larger format or heavier tiles the powdered adhesives are stronger so to hold the extra weight.... dave......
