Hi guys following on from my previous wet room build here:
Full Wetroom Build Thread - Start to finish - https://www.tilersforums.com/threads/full-wetroom-build-thread-start-to-finish.88057/
My next project is doing 45sqm of recalimed 150 year old bricks.
So let's start!
The basic build up is an Anhydrite screed with wet UFH.
The system was commissioned back in 2017 and has been in use since. I have turned it off for the tiling process.
I will be working a room at a time to make it easier for me...
So, first off a day spent grinding!
Before
Here you can see the material being removed with the grinder
50/50
Here you can see the texture of the screed coming through
Next up i found the most visible area and then put down a line and started putting lines down at 90 degress so i could bay it out.
Once i had my lines i primered the floor with Tilemasters primer
Then the following day, upon the suggestions here i added tilemaster anti crack matt, stuck down with ayhnfix, i found making the mix slightly runny easier as it soaked into the matt much better.
After that i added my bay lines back ontop to keep me square
Then away with the tiles
Today i did the awkward bit around the stairs
