Refitting shower

I have to refit a shower to travertine tiles, but there is 12mm tile,10mmplaster board,15mmplaster and adhesive's before i get to the brick, what is the best way to fit, do i have to go right into the brick?

Any help greatly appreciated

The travertine is strong enough to hold a plug......no need to hit the brick mate..a shower unit hardly has any weight at all....Gaz

I don't care, I don't care, I don't care if you come round here...I've got my beer in the sideboard here, let mother come around cos I don't care....lol.....yes mate same as trav plugged will hold weight ....not that there will be much...they only have to be held to the wall not hang there !..........Gaz

That's us...but keep it quite...:lol: .....

if the toilet is floor mounted and the sink is on a pedestal then then just screw through the tiles..if they are wall mounted then stronger fixings are needed...
