Whats the best way to get it off, does using a wall paper stripper work, if not what's the best way?

Depends if it's a waterproof one or not, sometimes dampening it helps, but if it's waterproof then you're best off with a sharp scraper

Yes, a wallpaper stripper works very well.Don't leave the stripper on one area for too long,keep moving it about and give the moisture time to react with the adhesive.
