removing floor tiles

evening all
nearly finished my first paying tiling job (15mtr2 bathroom and floor)everything has gone quite well although it has took me a little longer than i thought it would.
the lady ask me about removing the kitchen floor tiles and putting new ones down. its a concrete floor and i think it will be a nightmare to remove the old tiles.
can anyone give advice on removing them....

If you remove the tile's and, as you stated in the kitchen I would get hardboard or ply to cover the kitchen unit's, One piece of tile whizzing thru the air could cost you some serious money if scratching a cupboard door

SDS drill mate with chisel will take you no time at all.

Kango, SDS max with chissel. Self levelling compound over the residual adhesive and away you go.
Price the tiling by m2 and the tile removal by the hour till you know what is involved.

i bought a sds hammer drill from argos on monday 1200 watts only £55.00 quid its a beast it will take the floor up no probs great tool

If you use an SDS, Tape the doors up as well, Didn't do this in my own home and spent 3 hours hoovering the walls!

Yes, I agree SDS hammer drill gets the job done in no time. I did a job a couple of weeks ago taking up an old tiled kitchen floor. I bought a chisel attachment from Screwfix which cost approx £30 but really did make the job easy.

As other members have said though, watch out for flying bits of tile!!
