thats a new one on me, dont take the paint off dose it?

A family member use to have a van sales business back in the early ninetys and that is all they ever used, they would buy it by the pallet full!!

So unless they have changed the formula or the paints have drastically changed it should still work a treat, a quick search shows train modellers use it to remove decals off their trains ;)

My mate's a valeter and he offers this as a service, he uses a heat gun (blower type not flame) which I guess is just a hotter hair dryer. Falls off the van nearly he says.

He bought an old RAC van that had the thick white stripes on the back, trying to pick it off cold was pulling his nails off his hands, got the heat gun and got the lot off in about half an hour. He had a lot of glue left on the van around the edges of where the stickers were and he just used a polish to polish it off.

He did need to go over it all with a buffer in the end because where the stickers had been was all clean and like new, and where they hadn't been were lots of tiny typical swirls and small scratches from general use and every day cleaning etc and it stood out.

Probably wouldn't get that so much with sign writing though.
