Removing tile adhesive from bathroom floor

The bathroom floor tiles have been removed and adhesive is stuck on the concrete. How can I remove the old adhesive and prepare the floor for putting on new tiles? Thanks

Thanks. I've also been told gunning - is that same as SDS drill with armed chisel bit?

Or if the adhesive is really well stuck prime with SBR and level over the top.

SDS drill and a flat 2" spade bit is what i'd use.
