Hi there, I have been asked to make a repair on some Limestone flooring, that has been damaged and has 3 or 4 holes in the surface. I have been advised I can use offcuts of tiles and grind them up and add into a resin but I'm not sure what products I need and how to finish off the surface. Does anyone have any ideas on this?
Cheers, Mike

Hi mate, posted on this subject the other week, though post was entitled "repair holes in Travertine", this equally applies to many other types of natural stone as a number of colours are available, the product is called "Jolly Mastic".It is a 2 part resin based product, comprising of paste and hardener. Just mix a small amount together with a few dots of the hardener supplied in a separate tube. Smooth over hole with a stanley knife blade. Scrape off excess. Allow to harden - does this quite quickly. Once set is dries extremely hard and is polishable or sandable. Comes in a number of different colours.
Do a google search for details and stockists.

Many thanks for your advice. Leatherface I only jujst saw your post about travertine so that one may work, cheers. Although the customer has now asked for the tiles to be lifted and replace with new! This raises another problem as they are laid on ditra matting. We have never tried to uplift tiles laid on ditra, anybody else had any experience?
