Hi All, just been cleaning the adhesive out from between my newly tiled floor with one of those carbide grit covered grout removers, and yes you guessed
it i slipped and scratched a 2 inch scratch on my new tiles ARGGGGGGHHH.

Is there any way to lesse this scratch? I have not grouted or sealed the tiles yet. Any suggestions appreciated. otherwise its tile up time which i did not really want to do .

personally i would take the tile up rather than go to the hassle of looking for some product that probably doesn't work! will be a lot quicker in the long run!

same as DC,take the tile out and replace.Take your time, drill a hole in each corner and then hit tile gently with hammer, use chisel to remove old adhesive...job done.

Is it polished porcelain..? and what colour are they...

Also are you sure it isn't just a metal mark and it might come off with some cream cleaner and a scotch pad..

The tiles are a cream colour, polished porcelain , and by customer i assume you mean the mrs Lol

Pretty sure its not just a metal mark as you can feel it when you run your nail over it .

Looks like its smash the tile time then:thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

Typical

I knew it was a bad idea to try and do some work at home after a day at work.

If it is polished then some wet and dry might help if used in a few grades...but quicker to replace..as mentioned above.

Think I may have a metal mark or two on my porcelain hall floor - you can only see them from a certain angle as you come out of the (internal) garage door. Can anyone recommend a particular cream cleaner, or is it just any old stuff like CIF etc.??

Cheers
